Description
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Senior Development Associate will assist the senior leadership team in implementation of fundraising plans to support the short and long-term philanthropic needs of Resilience Force and its wholly owned subsidiary, Resilience Works. This role will be essential to the success of Resilience Works through mapping government funding, as well as submitting and securing grants and contracts.

Responsibilities
Fundraising Management and Support
Provide fundraising support to the Executive and Managing Directors, including but not limited to: prospect and funder tracking follow-up communication proposal and report writing Donor and partner engagement, cultivation, and stewardship
Mapping federal, state- and county-level government funding opportunities in key states, in particular, California, Louisiana, Florida and North Carolina
Preparing applications and responses to RFPs Support the Managing Director in building out and keeping fresh the prospective donor pipeline, with an eye especially towards building out RF’s major gifts portfolio
Track and develop state and federal government grant proposals on behalf of RF and our social enterprise, Resilience Works
Research and Program Management Support
Research and identify prospective funders and other potential funding channels for programming and advocacy work
Draft and track deadlines for grant proposals, reports, Letters of Intent, concept notes, overviews, updates, and other documents for funders and key external partners
Provide support regarding all activities related to funding proposals, including drafting materials and tracking progress
Grant administration for government awards
Departmental Support
Manage development communications and meetings, including agenda development and project management
Maintain files, documents, and shared communications systems
Fulfill other duties to support the Managing Director, as needed
Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in a community-organizing environment, non-profit and/or progressive movement work
At least 2 years of experience in government and institutional philanthropy grant writing and familiarity with advocacy and/or nonprofit sectors
Proven self-starter with demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Demonstrated experience working with a range of stakeholders in nonprofit organizations, government, foundations, private sector are a plus
Demonstrated experience working effectively as part of a team and with colleagues of diverse backgrounds and perspectives
Ability to travel periodically for work as needed
Approach work with passion, idealism, integrity, and a positive attitude
Salary Range and Employee Benefits
The salary range for this position is $90-100K and will be commensurate with experience.
