Description
The Senior Analyst of Prospect Development plays a critical role in advancing Global Fund for Women’s mission by leading prospect research and qualifying processes and moves management strategies that grow revenue and strengthen our funding base. This position is the go-to resource for all prospect research efforts in support of our individual philanthropy team, while also supporting our organization-wide fundraising strategy.
Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy – Eastern Region, the Senior Analyst will oversee all aspects of prospect management—from building and maintaining dynamic donor portfolios to developing prospecting systems and processes in close partnership with development operations. The ideal candidate is a strategic, self-directed researcher with a proven track record of proactively surfacing new leads and enhancing donor pipelines across multiple funding streams, including high-net-worth individuals, donor families, and family or private foundations. They are energized by building and refining systems, committed to feminist values and global gender justice, and eager to contribute to a collaborative, multicultural team.
Responsibilities
Partner with the Development Operations team to optimize CRM use by building an active prospect pipeline process, ensuring accurate moves management tracking, and implementing systems for capacity scoring, tiering, and ongoing data integrity across prospect records and databases.
Lead and manage the full cycle of identifying, qualifying, and tracking major donor prospects, including implementing proactive prospecting strategies (e.g., wealth screening, daily income reports), collaborating with front-facing fundraisers on qualification strategy, and facilitating regular portfolio review meetings to ensure a healthy, dynamic donor pipeline.
Design and maintain the systems and infrastructure that support effective portfolio management, including developing and refining tools (e.g., portfolio templates, capacity ratings), standardizing research and briefing processes, and partnering with fundraisers and executive leadership to drive long-term strategy for major and transformational giving.
Proactively identify and research new funding opportunities—such as high-net-worth individuals, family offices, wealth managers, giving circles, funder collaboratives, and networks in sectors like private equity and tech—leveraging relationship mapping and existing funder connections to bring forward insights and leads that inform team fundraising strategy.
Stay engaged and aware of Global Fund for Women’s programs and mission in order to proactively identify, assess, and align prospective donors with our priority areas, initiatives, and potential campaigns.
Train and support staff in effectively using prospecting tools and systems, while building team capacity to independently manage urgent or routine prospecting needs.

KEY SKILLS / WAYS OF DOING
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in prospect research, strategy, and development, with demonstrated expertise in capacity scoring, wealth and affinity analysis, and working effectively within limited budgets and tools.
Proven ability to expand and diversify funding sources through proactive prospecting and aligning an organization's mission and programs with potential donor interests.
Hands-on experience with wealth screening processes, including prioritizing, vetting, and validating large datasets to support donor qualification and portfolio development.
Skilled in managing and analyzing prospect data within CRMs (Salesforce experience is a plus), with a strong focus on process improvement and adaptability to new tools.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to produce clear, accurate information under tight deadlines and communicate effectively across diverse teams and audiences.
Salary Range and Employee Benefits
Salary Range of $75,000 - $105,000 *
