Description
The Business Office Assistant will oversee fundraising initiatives for Operations and Capital Campaign 2024-2025, manage donation processing (Sunday services, mail, online), and ensure the accuracy of our member management database (Realm). This role requires a blend of financial stewardship, organizational skills, and a heart for ministry.
Responsibilities
1. Fundraising & Donor Relations
Develop fundraising strategies and plans for Operations and Capital Projects, including campaigns, grants, and donor outreach.
Create compelling materials (e.g., brochures, emails) to articulate funding needs and impact.
Cultivate relationships with donors, track contributions, and organize stewardship events.
Research grant opportunities and manage application processes.
2. Financial Administration
Process Sunday, daily mail, and online donations, ensuring timely recording in Realm and deposits in the bank.
Prepare weekly/monthly financial reports and reconcile donations with bank deposits.
Train and supervise volunteers for Sunday donation collection.
Maintain compliance with financial policies and legal standards.
3. Realm Database Management
Accurately enter and update member data, donations, and communication logs.
Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and generate reports for leadership.
Provide staff training on Realm features and troubleshoot issues.
Manage member directories, groups, and attendance tracking.
4. Administrative Support
Assist with church communications, event coordination, and office tasks.
Collaborate with staff/volunteers to support church operations.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred) or 2+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising/database management.
Proficiency in Realm or similar CRM; familiarity with online giving platforms (e.g., Realm).
Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information.
Alignment with All Souls mission and values.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods during Sunday services.
Lift up to 25 lbs. (donation boxes/materials).
Salary Range and Employee Benefits
$75,000-85,000
