Courtland J. Powers

Courtland J. Powers-Gunnells is a native of Oklahoma City, OK. Courtland is a graduate of Langston University (HBCU) with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management. She then went on to earn her Master of Arts degree in Nonprofit Leadership from Oklahoma City University and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Organizational Development from Oklahoma Christian University.

Courtland began her career in Human Resources, Finance, and Operations within the oil & gas and legal industries. In 2014, she transitioned into the nonprofit sector and for the past eight years have had a strategic focus on Fundraising, Capacity-Building, and Organizational Development.

Prior to serving as a Strategy Partner (Fundraising Consultant) for WISE Resource Development, LLC in Dallas, TX, she served as the Director of Philanthropic Partnerships for Community Shares of Colorado--a statewide agency that provides capacity-building and sustainability resources for 120+ nonprofit organizations. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (AKA) overseeing the endowment and fundraising efforts on behalf of her local chapter, HERitage Giving Circle, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
