Description

Shakespeare Theatre Company seeks a Director of Development Operations to join our ambitious Development department.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Development, this position works closely with our finance team on budgets, projections, check requests and credit card reconciliation, and oversees Development’s use of our Tessitura database, setting best-practice data-entry standards and regular data hygiene.

Responsibilities

They manage annual plans for donors and prospects, keep donor records updated, collect outstanding pledges, and provide donor and prospect lists for events and campaigns. Along with the Senior Director of Development and the Database Administrator, this position helps improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Development Department, managing its data through tools including Gravyty, IWave, Concur, and Zkipster.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus an additional 2 - 3 years in a non-profit development department, specifically working with Tessitura, our CRM database.

The qualified candidate will be highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and deadlines, an ability to remain calm under pressure, and a high level of discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and a commitment to ongoing improvements in reporting and documentation is required.

The position regularly engages with donors, solicits donor feedback, and ensures donor satisfaction. Please note that this position is currently hybrid, with three days required on-site.

Salary Range and Employee Benefits

This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and an annual salary of $80,000 - $85,000.
