Description

Aspen Leadership Group is proud to partner with Project HOPE in the search for a Chief Development and Communications Officer. The Chief Development and Communications Officer will advance private fundraising, marketing, and communications strategies that enhance Project HOPE's impact across global health, humanitarian, and international development initiatives.

The Chief Development and Communications Officer will collaborate closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors to establish a vision for growth, brand influence, and donor engagement, with a goal of reaching $70 million in annual private funding over the next three years. The Chief Development and Communications Officer will set annual fundraising and brand-building goals, create marketing strategies, and strengthen Project HOPE’s brand to resonate globally, engage diverse audiences, and establish the organization as a trusted leader in international development, global health, and humanitarian work. In partnership with the President & Chief Executive Officer, the Board of Director’s Resource Development Committee, the Executive Vice President for Global Health, and the Chief Finance and Administrative Officer, the Chief Development and Communications Officer will align budgets with financial goals, ensure compliance, and oversee branding and special campaigns to raise Project HOPE’s profile worldwide.

As a visionary leader, the Chief Development and Communications Officer will leverage the latest in digital marketing, technology, and philanthropic trends to connect with new audiences and deepen donor relationships. The Chief Development and Communications Officer will represent Project HOPE internationally, and cultivate partnerships, strengthen team cohesion, and lead the organization’s efforts to build a high-impact global presence that attracts essential support and creates lasting relationships with donors and stakeholders.

Project HOPE's Chief Development and Communications Officer should possess excellent judgment, analytical and decision-making skills as well as integrity and an unwavering commitment to the highest degree of personal and professional ethical standards. This role demands outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and engage with a broad and diverse audience, including a consultative, advisory leadership style and an ability to constructively challenge assumptions.

The Chief Development and Communications Officer will have a natural inclination to keep key constituents informed while maintaining confidentiality as appropriate. These highly refined interpersonal skills will be combined with creative problem-solving skills and an ability to handle pressure, tension, ambiguity, changing priorities, and multiple viewpoints in a manner consistent with Project HOPE’s core values.
