University of Maryland, Baltimore County Vice President of Institutional Advancement Baltimore, Maryland Lindauer is pleased to partner with the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in their search for a Vice President of Institutional Advancement.

The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is seeking a visionary and dynamic leader to serve as the Vice President for Institutional Advancement (VP). The VP will be the primary leader of the Office of Institutional Advancement, responsible for all aspects of fundraising, alumni and donor engagement, operations and research, foundations, and sponsored programs.

This role offers an exceptional opportunity to shape and drive the strategic vision of UMBC’s advancement efforts, influencing the future of the university through impactful fundraising, alumni engagement, and innovative operational excellence.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with the President and senior leadership to assess and enhance the effectiveness of the development enterprise.

  • Lead the Advancement team to attract philanthropic support for the institution.

  • Foster a working environment that values diverse thinking and approaches, rewards innovation, and maintains an inclusive and welcoming culture.

  • Develop and implement performance metrics and assessment tools using contemporary analytics.

  • Provide leadership for ongoing fundraising efforts and campaigns, aligning strategies with university priorities.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in fundraising and campaigns, exemplary interpersonal and managerial leadership skills, and experience addressing organizational change.

Salary Range and Employee Benefits

$300K-$325K
