Description

Working and reporting directly to the Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) in all areas of Advancement. The Manager, Advancement and Executive Assistant to the CAO - provides administrative support to both the CAO and Advancement Team, including Individual and Planned Giving, Foundation and Government Support, Corporate Partnerships, Trustees and Special Events.

Responsibilities

  • Handling confidential and time-sensitive correspondence

  • Managing a complex calendar, travel, workflow, briefings, and budget; assisting with department budgeting and donor billing

  • Drafting correspondence and reviewing and editing all correspondence submitted for the CAO’s signature

  • Drafting meeting agendas

  • Processing invoices, expense reports, and reimbursements; assisting on projects as necessary and required.

  • Liaise and work closely with the Director’s office, all Museum departments, and will interact with donors and the Board of Trustees.

  • Manage Ad Hoc Projects and Initiatives as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years of Administrative Experience in an office setting.

  • Candidates with prior Junior to Mid-Level Executive Support Experience - are strongly encouraged to apply.

  • Superb communication, writing, and leadership skills with the organic ability to effectively engage with varying levels of leadership as well as general staff.

  • Advanced Computer Skills: MS Office, Outlook (a must) and Raiser’s Edge fundraising software (preferred).

  • Stellar Organizational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize and juggle multiple tasks. Impeccable ability to coordinate, collaborate and lead cordially and harmoniously with other staff.

  • Thorough, effective and efficient ability to focus on details; ability to exemplify sound judgment and discretion.

  • Ability to deal effectively and efficiently with high-level donors, patrons, and trustees.

  • Candidates with Fundraising background are strongly encouraged to apply

  • A demonstrated interest in art and museums/cultural institutions desirable.

Salary Range and Employee Benefits

Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000
