Description

As Donor Engagement Manager, you’ll design and execute a data-driven stewardship plan and ensure the identification, cultivation, and retention of mid-level and major donors to achieve fundraising objectives. Reporting to the Director of Engagement, you’ll manage the donor pipeline, coordinate strategic donor communications, research new funding opportunities, and actively collaborate with the data management team to track and tailor donor engagement efforts for optimal fundraising success.

Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Utilizing data and best practices to create, implement, and manage a donor stewardship plan for the Engagement Team to identify, secure, cultivate, and retain mid-level and major donors to meet The Fedcap Group’s fundraising financial goals and objectives.

  • Managing donor pipeline, regularly assessing its health and progress against departmental goals.

  • Developing and coordinating strategic donor communications and engagement touchpoints to support the Engagement Team and other key stakeholders with donor cultivation and solicitation of gifts.

  • Researching and identifying new funding opportunities aligned with development goals (individual, corporate sponsorships and other revenue, grants, bequests, and in-kind support).

  • Coordinating key performance metrics, tracking progress, and providing regular updates on fundraising activities towards financial goals.

  • Working closely with the data management team to develop and maintain a system of tracking donors to identify opportunities for tailored communications such as birthdays, position and company changes, events, etc. as a part of overall stewardship strategy.

  • Participating in donor acknowledgement efforts to proactively support ongoing donor engagement.

  • Completing capacity ratings, prospect research, meeting preparation, and other activities as needed.

  • Assisting with special events as needed.

Requirements

You’re a great fit for this role if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as nonprofit management, communications, or business.

  • Several years of demonstrated success in donor relations and fundraising including innovative strategic planning, use of fundraising software, and a deep understanding of best practices.

  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data management, and a proven track record of successful donor cultivation and stewardship.

  • Ability to be a self-starter and work under pressure to meet deadlines and fundraising targets.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and build strong relationships with donors and key stakeholders.

  • Collaborative management and working style with strong mediating skills.

  • Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Salary Range and Employee Benefits

$80,000-$90,000
