Description
The Development team is responsible for securing REDF's financial resources by cultivating and stewarding relationships with donors and partners. We work across the organization to connect REDF’s mission with external funders, ensuring financial stability and alignment with REDF’s 2026-2030 strategic goals.
The Role
The Development & Stewardship Manager will manage projects and donor events, oversee donor engagement strategies, and work collaboratively with the Marketing & Communications team to create and maintain stewardship programs. The role involves regular communication with funders, management of donor data, and development of key reports for institutional funders. The Manager will also support grant writing and other development initiatives (as needed) to drive REDF’s mission forward. Join Us! Responsibilities
Project and Event Management
Plan and execute high-impact events for donors and partners, ensuring alignment with REDF’s brand and mission.
Oversee and implement stewardship programs and develop donor engagement strategies for entry and mid-level donors with growth potential.
Donor Portfolio and Fundraising Strategy
Lead the identification and scoping of new donor prospects, coordinating with leadership to align donor interests with REDF’s goals.
Support leadership with prospect research and develop concise briefing materials for executive outreach.
Craft and organize donor stewardship activities such as digital newsletters, gift procurement and mass mailings.
Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate with the Director to refine cultivation strategies and stay updated on innovative practices in donor engagement.
Represent REDF at selected external events and networking functions, fostering relationships to support REDF’s impact.
Reporting and Data Management
Create and manage grant reports, ensuring accuracy in data collection and effective communication with funders.
Maintain donor records in REDF’s CRM system, ensuring data security and integrity for donor relationships.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in development, fundraising, revenue generation or consulting, with at least 2 years in a role that manages complex projects.
Strong project management skills with experience in event planning, stakeholder engagement, and relationship building.
Proficient in donor database/CRM systems with the ability to generate and interpret reports.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, handle confidential information, and manage competing priorities.
Collaborative and flexible team member, able to adapt in a dynamic environment.

Salary Range and Employee Benefits
San Francisco or Los Angeles preferred (hybrid) but open to remote.
The San Francisco and Los Angeles salary range for this position is $92,640 - $120,840. The range will be adjusted according to the candidate's location.
