Having served nonprofit clients across a wide range of issue areas, as well as those in the industrial, technology, and healthcare sectors, Maeve’s exposure to a variety of markets, positions, and functions has deepened her thinking on how to best approach executive search. Her experience has also given her a keen understanding of the complicated interplay between networks and an appreciation for the universal qualities that make for transformational leadership.
Maeve brings direct nonprofit experience to her work at Pearl Street, having held roles with Harvard University, Denver School of Science & Technology (DSST), and several historic preservation entities. Energized by her work with mission-driven organizations across the spectrum and particularly drawn to those seeking to dismantle structural inequity, Maeve is proud to serve on the board of directors for Girls Inc. of San Diego County, an organization that inspires girls to be strong, smart, and bold by providing life-changing support and real solutions to the unique issues they face. She holds a bachelor’s in American History from Wellesley College.
Raised in the Boston area, Maeve calls San Diego home. When she’s not working with clients to amplify their impact through talent strategy, you’ll find her on a trail with her young son, reveling in the opportunity to see the world through his eyes.
Emily supports the portfolio in their efforts to build successful and sustainable fundraising strategies that are tailored to each organization’s model and unique strengths. Emily dedicated the first two decades of her career to Summer Search, a national youth development organization that envisions a world where young people can fulfill their potential and lead families and communities to thrive. Emily’s interest in working at Summer Search was sparked by her experience attending Central, a Philadelphia public high school, where she watched her classmates break through barriers of poverty, access, and racism to graduate and go onto college. Emily graduated with a BA in African American Studies with a concentration in Sociology from Wesleyan University.

With over twenty-five years of experience in executive search, Adele has a thorough understanding of the search life cycle and brings a natural ability to engage meaningfully with both clients and candidates. She has led searches for brand names in the technology and manufacturing sectors, but her service orientation and mission drive led her to the nonprofit space. She has developed a specialty in Advancement and Development and has worked with a range of clients including Northeastern University, University of Miami, American Civil Liberties Union, National Urban League, Spelman College, and Special Olympics International. Adele holds a certification as a Diversity & Inclusion Recruiter.
Her interest in furthering the common good was borne of her own family’s search for a better life. When she was a child, they fled civil war in Lebanon to settle north of Boston in a vibrant community known for its culturally diverse population as well as its poverty rate and the barriers to success that engenders. Those life experiences created within her a drive to advocate for equity and access at every turn. In addition to championing diversity, equity, and inclusion through her daily work, she finds significant opportunity in her volunteer roles as an academic mentor with SquashBusters and advisory board member to Aaron’s Presents. Occasionally you’ll see her pinch-hitting as a substitute teacher at her high school alma mater, the Greater Lawrence Technical School, where the teenagers keep her on her toes.
