Rest, Resources and Creativity as Resistance for Women of Color

Rest, Resources and Creativity as Resistance for Women of Color

Free to WOC Members
Members-Only

Summer is most often a time of rest, vacation and reflection. For women of color, we can still find our minds churning and the pace not slowing down- even through the warmer months when so many try to take a break. At WOC, we acknowledge that women of color should do all that we can to take a step back and care for ourselves, as we have taken on the needs of others - friends, family, community - for centuries. Let us resist the urge to take on things which may burden us, and instead take a moment to care for ourselves, to connect, to network, to reflect, to enjoy this virtual hour and a half event in whatever way is meaningful for each individual.

From a Zoom Room which simply plays relaxing music so that you can rest, take a nap or meditate and reflect; to tapping into your creativity with Creativity Coach, Bria Clark; or learning more about WOC and other resources for women of color in our sector; there's something for you. And if you simply want to connect and talk with others, you can do that, too. Whatever you decide, we hope that you will join us for this special edition of WOC Connections and WOC Wellness, where WOC members from across the country can connect with each other, rest, learn about resources to further your lives and careers and reflect on how to tap into your creativity.
